EXAM FORMAT

Paper 01- [60 multiple choice questions from all areas of the syllabus]

Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes

Total: 60 marks (30%)

Paper 02- [6 compulsory questions divided into two sections]

Duration: 2 hours

Section A- 4 compulsory structured questions; One question is investigative/practical-based; Each question is worth 15 marks.

Section B- 2 compulsory structured essay questions;

Each question is worth 15 marks.

Total: 90 marks (50%)

Paper 031- School Based Assignment (Research Project)

* For school students only or those in a recognized educational institution

Candidates will be required to conduct research on a current health-related or environmental issue and its socio-economic impacts in their territory. Details of the project are provided on pages 34 – 38.

Paper 032- Alternative to School Based Assignment ( Case Study)

*** For private candidates only

Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes

This written paper will take the form of a case study and related questions and will examine the same skills as those tested in Paper 031

Total: 40 marks (20%)
